These two met while volunteering at a community farm called Veggielution where we had their engagement session and various other social events in our community. They envisioned their day to be intimate with their closest friends and family, casual, fun and of course surrounded by nature and that it was! Their celebration took place at a county park where they enjoy going on hikes with their pup Ceaser and it was just a lovely setting complete with a charming historic house, gorgeous landscapes with plenty of oak trees and sunshine. There was something so special about seeing all their dear friends and family that morning putting together all the details making it that much more meaningful to the two. Having known the bride for a few years now – I couldn’t have imagined the day to be more perfect; filled with creativity, so much laughter, simplicity and lawn games!! Wishing you two many many many more years of your special love!

Wow, wedding season has been in full swing and I am embarrassed that it’s been far too long since I’ve graced my blog with all the loveliness happening around here!

This particular pair had their engagement session and wedding just a couple months from each other! So before I share their wedding, here are a few images from their engagement session in Half Moon Bay at the Ritz Carlton where they enjoy spending time together playing golf and relaxing! These two met their during their Senior year at UC Davis when Hilary was searching for a date to her sorority formal – it was the perfect opportunity for her to ask Matt since having a crush on him all quarter! Together these two make an incredible pair, both having high regard for one another and adoring each other to pieces. I just love they way they smile when around each other and so thrilled for what the future has in store for these two!DSC_8411DSC_8293DSC_8316DSC_8375storyboard005DSC_8310storyboard004storyboard003DSC_8347storyboard002DSC_8486DSC_8565DSC_8626

After a brief meeting over coffee with these two – which quickly turned into two hours of chatting, sharing stories and laughing; I think I was beginning to fall in love with them! haha. They both come with great vibes and big bright smiles – I KNEW I had to get them behind my camera and I am thrilled that I get to capture a few special moments to celebrate their Engagement and Wedding in less than two months!

These two are incredibly busy bodies as of late; with work, wedding planning and their sweet baby girl Aila who is just 4 months old! So, as we were brainstorming for location ideas to photograph; they mentioned that they have fond memories together in Santa Cruz, riding their bicycles and running in the annual warf to warf race. So, Santa Cruz it was! I was so excited for them to take a little break and have a mini parents day out;)

For Van and Justin’s engagement session we headed for the secluded Santa Teresa Hills for a nice hike with some spectacular valley views, a gorgeous field of mustard and the perfect golden hour nearby at Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch. Nearly half a day flew by with these two and their pup; they are a sweet pair with an undeniable chemistry and I can’t wait for their big day in just a couple weeks!
